Earn up to approx. €19.27 per hour in a brand-new cold store, and most days you're finished by mid-afternoon. For our client, a state-of-the-art cold store in the Oss region with over 100,000 pallet positions, we are looking for order pickers who love to get things done. Together with a small, close-knit team you pick around 12,500 boxes a day. With your hand scanner you move through the freezer cells, making sure every order is spot-on before it leaves the building. Yes, it's chilly: -18 degrees. But there's plenty in return. You get thick warm workwear from the company and you work a fixed day shift from 07:00 to 16:00. And the best part? Done is done. Most days you're out the door well before four, with the rest of the day to yourself. The pay is worth it too. You start from €16.25 per hour, which is €650.07 gross per week (step C2 of the Dutch road transport collective agreement, well above minimum wage). If you already have relevant experience, you may even start at a higher step. On top of that comes a cold-store allowance of €42.14 gross per four weeks, which puts you at around €16.51 per hour right away. After each full year in the job you in principle move up a pay step, up to approx. €19.27 per hour including the allowance. That is well over €3,300 gross per month. Any overtime is paid at 130%, and Saturday hours even at 150% of your hourly wage. You also receive a travel allowance of €0.23 net per kilometre (from 10 km one way). After work you can take a hot shower in the clean changing rooms, your things are safe in your own locker, and free soup, coffee, tea and chocolate milk are waiting in the canteen.
